April 2, 2020

Parents and Students,

I understand many of you are wondering about when you will be able to get your belongings that were left at school. We will be retrieving those as soon as we safely can; however, at this time the risk of spreading COVID 19 is too great. We will make arrangements to get them to you as soon as we can, but your safety and well-being as well as our staff's is our top priority.

Thank you for your understanding and support,

Rita Echelle
OSB Superintendent

March 25, 2020

OSB Family,

State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister has announced that she will recommend schools remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Distance learning will begin on April 6. Administrators and teachers will be working together to provide a continuous learning plan for students of OSB.  There are many issues that need to be addressed, but please be patient as we navigate through this new information.

OSB Parents and Students,

I wanted to update you on our school closing through April 5.  The packets and school work sent home with your child are NOT required and will not be graded.  The State Board of Education has voted that no instruction and grading will take place during the closure.  We do, however, encourage you to check out the educational sites listed on our Facebook page and continue reading and practicing your skills.  I will share more information with you as it becomes available.

Also, OSB students may get breakfast and lunches from their home school district if they are being provided for other students.  Check with your local school district for this service.

Please continue to follow COVID-19 guidelines.  Everyone’s health and safety is our top priority.  If you have questions or need to contact OSB for any reason, please call (918)781-8200.

OSB Superintendent
