2009-2010 Review of Season

This year the Parkview Academic Team hit the ground running. With Mr. Burris as the driver, we put over 1500 miles on the school bus. Mrs. Miller and Ms. Goins put in over 45 hours of practice time on top of their regular work day and we clocked over 33 hours of competition time. No one can deny that this was a busy season.

Parkview had one of the largest teams competing this year; with several new members. We traveled across the state showing our academic prowess and making new friends. One of the best parts of being on the Academic Team is competing against public school students, and winning!

This year we had one student named honorable mention to the BMAC All-Conference Team and another make the all-conference team. It was a successful year for us.

We would like to thank Mr. Burris for driving us all those miles, the cafeteria ladies for making sure we had plenty of brain food, and our team moms for all the support they gave us. We are excited about next year and can’t wait for the new season to begin!

Academic Greatness

A win! That is what the Parkview academic team as heard all season. Parkview has placed second in this year’s BMAC competition. This past Saturday, the 13^th, the Parkview OSSAA team traveled to Maud, OK for the OSSAA Regional Conference. We have been studying very hard every Wednesday evening in the hopes of taking first place and qualifying for Area. We placed 3^rd in the competition and qualified to compete in Area by beating our 7 public school teams and winning 3 of our 4 matches. Our academic year it still rolling, with the BMAC Awards on Thursday, Nov. 18^th and Area on Jan 15. More updates to come on our “Road to State!”
